Worker FAQ
Getting verified, finding shifts, attendance, payments, your reliability score and staying safe — answered clearly.
Getting Started
How do I create a worker account?
Sign up, choose “Worker”, and register with your email or Google. Confirm your email, then complete onboarding to unlock shift applications.
How do I complete onboarding?
Onboarding has five quick steps: (1) your basic profile and photo, (2) identity verification — Aadhaar front & back plus a selfie, (3) the work categories you want, (4) your location, preferred areas and availability, and (5) a final review before you submit for approval.
Why is verification required before I can work?
RoleCycle is a trust-first platform. Every worker is Aadhaar-verified and admin-approved so businesses can hire with confidence. This keeps fake and duplicate accounts out and protects honest workers and fair shifts for everyone.
Can I use the app before I am approved?
Yes. You can explore the dashboard and browse available shifts while your profile is under review. You can only apply for shifts once your profile is approved.
Is RoleCycle free for workers?
Yes. Creating an account, getting verified, and applying for shifts is free. RoleCycle charges the business a platform fee — never the worker.
Verification & Documents
How long does approval take?
Most profiles are reviewed within 24 hours. You can browse shifts while you wait, and you’ll be notified the moment your status changes.
What documents are required?
A clear photo of your Aadhaar card (front and back) and a selfie for identity matching. A verified phone number is also required. That’s all you need to get started.
Who can see my Aadhaar and personal documents?
Only RoleCycle’s verification team, for review. Employers never see your Aadhaar, selfie, phone number, address or bank details. Your documents are stored privately and accessed only through secure, time-limited links.
My profile was not approved. What now?
You’ll see the reason on your dashboard — usually a blurry document or a mismatch. Update the relevant step and resubmit; there’s no penalty for resubmitting.
Why do you need a selfie?
The selfie confirms that the person creating the account is the same person on the Aadhaar document. This prevents identity fraud and shared or proxy accounts.
Jobs & Applications
How do I apply for shifts?
Once approved, open Browse Shifts, open a shift you like, and tap Apply. Our team reviews applicants and assigns the best fit. You’ll be notified if you’re assigned.
How do I find jobs near me?
The Near Me page matches open shifts to your city and the preferred work areas you set during onboarding. Keep your location and preferred areas up to date for the best matches.
Why was my application not selected?
For each shift, our team assigns workers based on reliability score, proximity, category match and availability. Not being selected once doesn’t count against you — keep applying, and a strong reliability score improves your chances.
Can I save shifts to apply later?
Yes. Tap the bookmark icon on any shift to save it. Saved shifts appear under Saved Jobs and are removed automatically once they close.
What is a minimum reliability score on a shift?
Some businesses require a minimum reliability score for sensitive roles. If a shift lists one and your score is below it, you won’t be able to apply yet — completing more shifts reliably raises your score.
Can I apply to more than one shift at a time?
Yes, as long as the shift times don’t overlap. The system prevents you from being double-booked for conflicting shifts.
What happens after I am assigned?
You’ll get a notification and the shift appears under My Shifts. Review the details and Accept to confirm, or Decline if you can no longer make it. Accepting early helps the business plan.
Which kinds of shifts can I find?
Hospitality and banquet staff, warehouse and logistics support, retail promoters, event crew, delivery support, office/admin help, cleaning and security, and more — depending on demand in your city.
Attendance
How does shift attendance work?
On the shift day, open the shift and check in using GPS at the location — available from 30 minutes before the start time. When you finish, check out. Your hours are calculated by the system, not edited manually.
What if I am running late?
Report the delay through the app before the shift starts. Occasional, well-communicated delays are understood; repeated lateness and no-shows reduce your reliability score.
What if I have an emergency and cannot attend?
Report emergencies, delays or travel problems before the shift start time. Early communication protects your reliability score; silent no-shows do not.
Can I edit my check-in time or hours worked?
No. Check-in, check-out and hours are controlled by the system and confirmed by the employer. This protects you — your approved hours become the basis for your payout and can’t be reduced unfairly.
The employer says I attended fewer hours than I did.
If the approved hours look wrong, raise it through support at support@rolecycle.com. We review your GPS check-in and check-out timestamps, which are recorded automatically.
Payments
When do I get paid?
After your shift, the employer approves your attendance. A payout is then created and scheduled — typically around two days later. You can track it on your Earnings page as it moves from pending to processing to completed.
How do I add my bank account?
Go to Earnings → Bank Account in your dashboard and add your account number, IFSC and account-holder name (or UPI). Add these before your first payout so it isn’t delayed.
What happens if my bank details are wrong?
A payout to incorrect details may fail. Update your details on the Earnings page as soon as possible; if a payout has already failed, contact support and we’ll re-process it to your corrected account.
Will I be paid by bank transfer or UPI?
Either — payouts go to the bank account or UPI ID saved on your Earnings page. Keep these accurate and verified to avoid delays.
Does the platform fee come out of my pay?
No. The 25% platform fee is paid by the business on top of the worker cost. The pay shown on a shift is what the worker earns for that shift.
Do I ever have to pay to get shifts?
Never. RoleCycle will never ask you to pay for shifts, verification, or “priority access.” Anyone asking for such a payment is a scam — report them immediately.
Ratings & Reliability
How is my reliability score calculated?
Your score reflects your track record: shifts completed, attendance, on-time check-ins, employer ratings, and any no-shows or late cancellations. A higher score means priority matching and access to better-paying shifts.
What lowers my reliability score?
No-shows and last-minute cancellations have the biggest impact. Reporting issues early and showing up on time protects your score.
I am new — what is my starting score?
New workers start with a neutral baseline and build up quickly by completing shifts reliably. Your first few shifts matter most, so commit only to shifts you can attend.
Do employers rate me?
Yes. After a completed shift, employers can rate your performance. Positive ratings strengthen your reliability score and your standing on the platform.
Safety & Trust
How does RoleCycle prevent scams?
Mandatory Aadhaar + selfie + phone verification, manual admin review, GPS-verified attendance, and on-platform communication. Fake workers, fake businesses, attendance fraud and payment fraud are met with immediate suspension or a permanent ban.
Should I ever share my OTP?
No. Never share OTPs with anyone, including people claiming to be RoleCycle staff. We will never ask for your OTP, password, or payment.
An employer wants to hire me directly, off-platform. Should I?
We strongly advise against it. Off-platform deals carry no protection, and you lose your reliability score, shift history, earnings history and priority access — all of which stay with you only inside RoleCycle.
What if I feel unsafe at a shift?
You can report unsafe conditions, abuse, or illegal activity through the app. High-risk reports are escalated immediately. Your safety comes before any booking.
Where should I communicate with employers?
Keep important conversations inside RoleCycle. On-platform communication keeps a record that protects you in any dispute.
Account & Support
How do I contact support?
Email support@rolecycle.com or use the Help Center. Include your worker ID so we can help faster.
Why was my account suspended?
Accounts are suspended for repeated no-shows, suspicious activity, or breaches of our Scam Prevention rules. If you believe it was a mistake, contact support to request a review.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email support@rolecycle.com from your registered email and we’ll process your request in line with applicable data-protection rules.
